Radio and Television Advertising in Savannah, GA – does it still work?

We too have heard the whispers — does traditional advertising still work (check out these articles – Small Business radio, University Study televisionMarketplace Report television, traditional vs satellite radio)?  In the age of social networking, viral videos, online personas, etc. what does television and radio get us really?  Is it worth it?

It can be – but just like with the new-wave advertising – you need to be sure you’re advertising the right things, targeting the right audiences.

The most important thing to do before starting any advertising campaign – traditional or virtual – is to decide what you want your outcomes to be.  Make sure your goal something measurable, tangible, and real.   Businesses tend to have the “Field of Dreams” outlook on advertising…but just because you built it, don’t think they’re coming to knock down your doors immediately.

Advertising costs money.  And as a business owner, you’re top concern should be Return on Investment (ROI).  Understand the “I” – investment – it takes time to watch that money grow. 

If you want immediate returns, then ask for immediate feedback in your commercial advertising.  If you’re trying for brand recognition, then take a softer approach to get your name out there.  It all still works, you just have to know how and where to spend your dollars to get the results you want.
